Ok so as you know I am a Mac user, Kelly my wife is a Mac user and Gino uses Windows @ School so I may be putting him on a PC just to keep things simple for now, but he has a mac. I finally got my brother, Michael, to move to a Mac and he has a real nice on. One of those new fancy MacBooks, to go along with his fancy BMW and his fancy iPod. He is so fancy. My sister last night ordered an iBook from MacMall (I think - Details to follow)
So welcome to the club Beth, You will learn to love most of what MacOS X offers and at the same time hate the Windows world with thier inablilty to understand Macs and be ignorant about them.

Thanks for your help with my question last night! Yep, the ibook is ordered and now I just have to wait patiently. Hopefully it will be here by the end of this week, but maybe not until early next week. I’ll let you know when I get it.

I GOT IT! I GOT IT! It’s like Christmas…this is great! The only thing I really need to get used to is that I don’t have to push down so far on the keys when typing. It seems like most regular laptops have keys that are deeper. I’ve only had it for about 15 minutes now so I’m going to go explore some more.

I know it’s great! Here are a few things you will learn but might not get being a Windows person for so long.
1. There is no C:. C: was and still is the most redicoulous idea Microsoft pushed on us. Drives are now just that drives. You can name the volumes what you like. That Hard Disk icon is now where you store things.
2. Where the hell is “My Documents” - Well again Microsoft has taken it upon themselves to rename the HOME folder to something they liked. You HOME Folder is where you keep things like documents and such.
3. Free Software - iLife which is the greatest thing ever is where you keep stuff. You don’t have to manage you music or photos. Now you just use iTunes for you music and you use iPhoto for you photos. No more having to thing….where did I put that?
4. If you think the mac is hard to use you should stop thinking so hard and just call me and ask me. You can call Michael too he is becoming a seasoned mac User too.
That is all for now. Congrates on becoming a Mac user. You will never want to use a Windows PC again….

How cool is this…I’m at Panera Bread working on school work, checking e-mail, etc? The school is supposed to be getting Wifi, but it probably won’t be until after I graduate.

WOW. A college in this day and time with no WiFi. How sad. They should not be allowed to hand out IT degrees much less anything with a computer in it.
I told you Macs were the greatest!
