2009 Audi S4AudiWorld News bring us a sneak peak at the new 2009 Audi A4 line up. I am not sure if I like the new body. It’s to BMW looking?

“Sources at Audi have confirmed to AudiWorld that the next generation Audi A4 will make its worldwide debut in the fall at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Completely redesigned both inside and out, the B8 A4 will in many ways be similar to the recently introduced B8 A5 and S5 coupés.

With the new A4 just a little over four months away we wanted to give readers a good idea of what to expect inside and out. Matt Daniels has also prepared three exclusive renders of the 2009 A4 (sedan, Avant and S4) which represent our best guess at what the final product will look like. “

[...] all of that said I get anywhere from 50 - 100 hits a day on my Audi posts (HERE & HERE). I get more attention from my Audi post some days than my tech posts. Maybe you all are [...]

  2. DON MORRISON Says:

I want a 2008 S5, but may need 4 doors, so 2009 S4 looks like a S5! i HOPE IT IS THE 4.2 354 HP V8.tWIN TURBos RUN HOT LIKE IN 335 BMW AND ARE HIGH SPEED ROTATING DEVICES, worries me for longevity.

  3. DON MORRISON Says:

Will 4.2 354hp motor be in 2009 S4, or twin turbos?

  4. TG Says:

Forced induction of some type. Could be the turbos or could be supercharged. Doubt it will be a V8, but a V6 3.6l.

    Tom

  5. David Says:

I dont see Audi doing anything with SuperChargers…..ever. Turbos yes, but no SC. I have posted about the next S4. Check it out on my blog. They should be right nice with twin turbos.

  6. Tom G Says:

    TG,

Interesting that you have the same initials as I. As a B5 S4 owner, my preference will be the Avant S4 version when released.

    Tom G.

  7. Jason Green Says:

The S4 will have the 4.2, should be tuned to 354hp..fingers crossed! I was looking at the S5, but want the extra room…. The turbo question… I heard the RS5 will be a turbo 4.2…if what I heard is right?!? That will be SICK!!! Better buy some extra tires….

Does anyone know if they are doing the body trim package with the 09 S4??

  8. Elevatus Says:

It will be a V6 twinturbo for sure, gas prices plus upcoming fed laws in 2020 plus technologies = V6 with similar output to V8……now they just need to make it sound like a V8. :)

  9. chingo Says:

the 2009 audi s4 will be 2.6l v6 bi turbo.

  10. John McL Says:

When will the 2009 S4 be available in the uk?

  11. John S Says:

friend is manager at audi dealership… 09 S4 will be v6 supercharged… not twin turbo.

  12. AL Says:

Looks like everyone was fooled. Audi announced that the next S4 will make use of the new 3.0tfsi which utilizes an Eaton Supercharger.

Word is that the new Supercharged V6 in the S4 will put out 350bhp with around 400 ft lbs torque. This engine (detuned) will also replace the current Naturally Aspirated 3.2 V6 with 265bhp and bump it up to 290bhp and 350 ft/lbs torque. The big question is when does the RS5 come out and what will be it’s method of propulsion. Im finding Audi to be more and more exciting these days and quite the alternative to the everyday BMW.

  13. Sal Says:

When will the 2009 S4 be available in the U.S.?

  14. David Says:

I think in the next few weeks. AudiWorld.com just released all the pricing details.

  15. liveguy Says:

That’s NOT an S4. That’s an s5. Somebody doctor’d that logo on that pic.

  16. Karel Desmet Says:

I own a 2006 S4 avant with 4.2 V8 with Milltek exhaust. Love the sound and would like to see what the 3 litre twin turbo produces.

  17. audi rs4 fan Says:
