Barry Bonds is no Hank Aaron

Bonds is a jokeSomething has to be said. I have always followed baseball. I really was bad at it but I tried. Hank Aaron is a stand up person. I have been a Braves fan all my life. I have stood in the old parking lot where Fulton County Stadium once stood and it makes you proud to know that one of the finest players in baseball, Hammering Hank, was an Atlanta Brave. Barry Bonds should not be allowed to play the game. He is in my eyes a cheater, and has stolen a record, not earned it. Hank Aaron has tried to stay out of it, he is a gentlemen and will always be one. I think we all have our notions as to why Hank has not been involved with the Barry Bonds B.S.

While you are being pursued for federal charges of lying to a grand jury and congress for using steroids then you should be at home doing nothing. Let him work at a Jack in the Box but you don’t get to rape the sport that made you millions because you cheated. You a low down dirty SOB Mr. Bonds. I don’t like you, the Giants don’t like you and the world of baseball does not like you. Your a cheater and no on likes a cheater. To tell the world that you have no idea what was going on is a complete and utter lie. I always ask what my doctor is doing. I always make sure I know what I am up to and to think an athlete does not know what is being injected or given to him is laughable, you must take us all for fools.

In my eyes the home run record still stands at 755! Hammering Hank Aaron is the true hero in all of this. He still holds the record because you cheated means your home runs are all null and void. None of them count. While I am on the subject of low down dirty athletes. Why do we pay these people so much money to play sports. While they are talented the majority of them are also just bad people. They are self centered, foul mouthed, uncultured duffuses that don’t know right from wrong. We need to stop going to games where the worst of the worst play for way to much money.

With that all said. Hats off to Hank Aaron, a stand up representation of what a baseball hero is supposed to look like. Let the record show Hank Aaron did not cheat to get 755 home runs. Mr Aaron worked hard and showed up and gave it his all. He still holds the record for home runs in a life time of 755.

WOW I never thought about that. Good call. More reasons not to like Barry Bonds!

David, drugs have been involved in American sports for a long time. Hockey players have taken large amounts of cold medicine before playing to be more alert and ’stimulated’. Football has had a long history with steroids to increase muscle size that gets little attention anymore. Drugs were used in Hank’s day too. I AM NOT INSINUATING THAT HANK DOPED. I find it laughable that we still believe all athletes are pure and innocent when the stakes($$$) are so high nowadays. Look at the Tour de France, there has always been an incredible amount of doping going on but the scientific tests have now caught up to the dopers. If we are going to hold to the standard that athletes are to be clean then we need to increase the level of testing, monitoring of medical activities and the penalties involved.

Ken, I do understand the comments you made. I think there is a “hate” for Barry Bonds and that is what make him a bad person. To put him in the same room with Hank is like putting Mother Teresa in with Anna Nichol Smith. They don’t belong together.

I don’t like Barry Bonds. He is a bad person. He is bad for the sport and does not like people. Where Hank is the the complete opposite and is likable and a people person, and got his job done honestly.

While I know drugs are everywhere it sends a bad message to hold Barry Bonds up while we should be really paying attention to other issues. Sports in general is a huge waste of our attentions.

You are definitely right, He is not Hank Aaron! There are so many more things out there today that increase athletes performance than in Hanks day, that it makes Hank’s record that much greater!
