Best Philanthropy Award 2008- While I am sure they all worked hard at the award, It’s probably all Chris Whisonant doing. Just kidding. Congrates to Lotus911, they are an Atlanta based company and they do lots of great things with Lotus Notes, and have some great people working there.

thanks for the kudos. But I had nothing to do with this wonderful project that’s been going on for years! I like your wishlist too, by the way! Who wouldn’t want a Power6 i?!?

I was just kidding. It’s good to work with a company that is doing things right trust me on that one. While most companies out there don’t do anything right there are a few who do good. Your apart of the team that is Lotus911, and the only person I know over there so I figured I would pick on you.

Oh, and I can’t think of anyone who would not want Power6?
Wait a tick, I can…those former Sun employees or closet zealots who are hell bent on implementing crappy Sun solutions replacing good System i and System p servers that’s who!
I could go on for days about that little slip of the brain, but I might get in trouble if I do, but let’s just say there is a company near me that has been using the System i for the past 12+ years and it’s run like a champ, and a new guy shows up with little to no brains, a former sun employee, is constantly angry at IBM about nothing, and decides to replace the System i and System p with Sun, and not just any Sun Equipment but some of the worst of the Sun Equipment.
The Sun hardware no decent Sun guy will support, the T2200 line. It’s just crap. You might want to do some research on the T2200 line and how much trouble it’s been giving the world. You might want to read all the emails and research I did on it and take notes. I knew more about the current Sun line, it’s dependability, and stats than the supposed hack you called a Sun Admin.
So good luck to the “Former Sun Employee.” Thats all you will ever be. I hope it all works out for you and your conversion, when it fails, and it will, I want to be the first to offer you an “I told you so” and I would like to hammer the last nail in because in IT you have no gravitas!

Yeah, knew you were kidding…
Sorry to get you started on that rant - it’s insane that people will just come in and want to rip out the best hardware on the planet!
