Well, this just happened. . .

I am going to post it and if anything happens then it happens. Obama pick Joe Biden as his running mate. Those are the facts.

Link to CNN Story.

I think you all know where on the fence I sit, and I will tell you I was waiting to see what Obama would do, now we all know.

The only thing I would say is this, if I were running for President, which is still an option, I would NOT have picked Joe Biden as MY running mate. Nuff Said.

LOL.. ROFL.. Even Biden said he thought McCain was better and more experienced.

  2. Craig Wiseman Says:

    Did he? I handn’t noticed.

Not touching it. We have some real….Obama Supporters who come here and I don’t want to make them think….I mane get angry.

It’s called a primary, John… Hillary said the same thing. And McCain and Romney threw quite a few verbal punches at each other during their primary, yet there’s more than a little speculation that Romney will now be McCain’s running mate. Personally, I hope he will be; it might be fun to watch a ticket comprised of two people with a combined net worth of approximately $300 million tell the nation they “feel their pain” regarding the current state of the economy.

  5. David Says:

Tim, oh good point! I would agree with that. I think the people on the government have lost touch with the everyday working American, and none of them understand anything about what we are doing, going through or working for?

Obama and Biden are not poor either. The only thing I see is this, if Romney is picked and I agree he is in the top 3, he earned his money the old fashioned way. No one gave it to him, he didn’t fall on it or find it during a wedding. He worked at it and I respect that. I don’t know how much Biden is worth, but I do find it odd that no one, and I mean no one has picked apart Obama about being from Chicago, the arm pit of politics, and how he came to power so fast without the “political underworld” of Chicago helping him?

I lived in Chicago for as long as I could, I saw first hand the corrupt political crap in that city first hand and being an IT guy had to work with the FEDs and the FDIC. There were many names talked about, some on them are running for president now, some of them are in South Chicago still and some of them are still running the city of Chicago and the Sate. Sad really.

If you want to know why I don’t trust Obama it has a lot to do with a Bank in South Chicago and some other things I learned when I lived there a few years back.

Supposedly he “came to power” in previous elections the same way he’s campaigning now: relying primarily on grassroots support. That fits his style, since his first real job was community organizing… which is why he moved to Chicago in the first place, not because he wanted to sleaze his way into the city’s political machine. You may be right: he might be corrupt to the core. I suspect we’ll find out soon…

  7. David Says:

I think it goes without saying that every politician at that level has done some dealing with the devil?

I find it odd that the political machine in Chicago has never been turned upside down for more than a few seconds at a time? It has to be one of the worst cities politically I have ever lived in along with the racism in the city. I grew up down south and never saw racism like I did in Chicago.

I think we are again at a very odd place in history. It’s the worst of two evils. Just which is going to be worse for America?

I see where you are coming from, but it depends on where they got the money/net-worth. If they earned it I would say they must know a thing or two about success and personal accountability. If they were given the money then I would say they probably don’t have any reality of the working class other than the outside looking in (which can sometimes be enough, but not enough on this topic I would guess).

Actually back in 2004 Biden said the Kerry should entertain McCain for VP. One of the reasons was that if anything happened to Kerry that McCain would make a good President. But, of course, the DNC spin will now be that McCain got off course by continuing to support Bush and that Biden no longer feels that McCain would make a good president…

@Tim: “Personally, I hope he will be; it might be fun to watch a ticket comprised of two people with a combined net worth of approximately $300 million tell the nation they “feel their pain” regarding the current state of the economy.”

Umm, I think that once you get to the level of a Senator that you can no longer say that period - whether your net worth is over $1 million like Obama or higher, you’re no longer “truly” sympathetic to the economic matters that affect normal Americans. So, let’s not muddle the facts with class envy tactics. That’s really “old-school” Democrat tactics coming into play - I thought Obama was in favor of newer tactics for winning elections…

  10. David Says:

Well Done Chris. I agree but the “I feel your pain” is going to come up. They still call the North East “Blue Collar” which kills me. It’s hardly Blue Collar and if it was then why is the rest of the country White Collar now? Either you are in a office or in service, the blue collar jobs, for the most part have been moved to Mexico and China…there are still some but not as many as 10 years ago.

    http://janechastain.com/2008/03/13/the-story-behind-obamas-rise-to-power/

He was appointed to a seat in Illinois vacated by a person who wanted to run for Govoner, she didn’t make it and he refused to give the seat back, this is the high quality kind of guy we are looking to put in the Oval Office.

Once again I think the political system is broken, we can’t seem to get anyone worth a crap in the highest office in the land.

I kind of liked Romney, but I had issues with some of his stuff. Where is Ross Perot when you need him with his charts?
