David,
Been there - Done that!
The operative word with 8.0.2 is “access” particularly for appointments. Will really be a killer once we can crate them. 8.0.3?
Took a lot longer to understand what to do than the actual doing.
What’s your experience?

Bob, as a fan of Apple I have stayed away from the iPhone. I think they are neat bits of kit, and are on the cutting edge, but I refuse to buy one.
I think the move from a BES/Blackberry infrastructure in today’s’ ID climate. I applauder Apple for putting out an SDK, all be it with a limited and strict license. And also for putting out a BES like server, but I think they are a long way off from doing what RIM does now.
The Problem I think with the current solution with Lotus and the iPhone is, and I am only going with that I know, that you have to open your Domino Server to the web? I don’t know for sure? Can anyone help me?
I like where Lotus is going but wished the native mail client could be hooked back to Lotus Domino, rather than building a new set of tools.
For now, knowing what I know that is my opinion. I am very happy that Lotus is moving fast with the iPhone.
Can’t wait for the Android Platform to come out…..that has my interest too.

David,
Yes, you do need to open a Domino server to the Internet in order to use the current solution. In the vSMB case where I implemented this solution there was no other solution in place. Works well.
They are also now able to get to other Domino apps as well.

Good to know. Not to keen on putting my mail server out there for iPhone.
