Daily Mail - People who say I let Lewis past are completely stupid, says Glock

F1, Moto Sports 2 Comments »

Timo Glock slowed down in the last corner of the last race of the F1 season allowing Vettel, and then Lewis Hamilton slide by and eventually would let Lewis take the F1 Crown! I watched the race and had no idea as to what happened in TImo’s car.

Did Timo let Lewis slide by?

Did Timo lose traction with dry weather tires in the rain on what is a pretty fast corner anyway?

Timo ends up saying this:

Dismissing frenzied rumours of a pre-race agreement between Toyota and McLaren, Glock, 26, said: ‘Anyone who thinks I let Lewis past is completely stupid.’

Lewis Hamilton is the F1 World Champion - Thanks GLOCK

F1, Moto Sports 2 Comments »

On pins and needles I sat in my living room, watching SPEED TV, and the race was pretty good. Sao Paulo is a great track. The rain was a factor then it went away. Massa is a super driver. Ferrari gave both of them winning cars. It was an emotional race for me, and I can only imagine how it must be for Massa and Hamilton. I thought it was odd that Timo would have given it up, but in F1 you have strange bed fellows. The drama of the race was intense, the race and season was incredible. I feel bad for Massa that he didn’t win the Championship, but someone had to win and it is what it is. To those who think Glock did the wrong thing, if Massa didn’t want to be in that position, he should have won some more racesand secured his spot. Oh well, there is always next year. NOW BRING F1 BACK TO NORTH AMERICA DAMN IT!

Boycott on Ferrari (and others) until they bring F1 back to North America

F1, Moto Sports, Rants & Such 4 Comments »

F1 has been doing some very mean and odd things over the past year. F1 pulled the race from Canada, where I was planning on going next year and in doing this made me really angry.

It’s going to be very hard this year to not get my annual Ferrari,  until F1 comes back to North America. I mean it, was was really looking forward to getting that new F450 Scuderia, and now I am just going to have to go get an American car. Damn you F1!

I am boycotting the following companies and would hope you do as well:

  • Ferrari - NO F430 for me
  • Mercedes Benz - NO AMG Black for me
  • BMW - NO M3 for me
  • Red Bull - No more staying up clubing
  • Toyota -My Dreams are all lost - No Corolla
  • Honda - Oh how I love Jenson Button!
  • ING - There goes my ROTH IRA!
  • Renault - That will be easy….none in the US
  • Nissan - They are apart of Renault
  • Bridgestone Tires - This is going to hurt as I love their tires
  • Lenovo - Who doesn’t like a Think Pad?

So while it may hurt and you won’t get your Ferrari this year, this will force them to return F1 to Canada, once they return F1 to North America, then you can go shopping.

Of course some of you are thinking I am nuts, and I would like to point out that the three top car manufacturers are heavily invested in  North America and this happens to be all threes largest sales region, so F1 has done all three a huge disservice, and BMW is the only one to day to publicly verbalize their displeasure with the move to remove F1 from North America.

Canada contenues to fight F1 for race in Montreal - GO CANADA!

F1, Moto Sports No Comments »

Since the race was pulled for 2009 from Canada, they have been on the offensive, trying hard to get the race back. SPEED.tv has another chapter to the issue where Canada is letting F1 know they mean buisness.

Organizers of the Canadian Grand Prix have strongly denied Bernie Ecclestone’s claim that the 2009 race was axed because of a growing debt dating back three years.

The F1 chief executive said last week that he cancelled Montreal’s Formula 1 contract because of monetary shortfalls “for the past three years.” But in a statement issued by the promoter Grand Prix F1 du Canada, race official Paul Wilson dismissed the “allegations,” claiming that the dispute relates only to 2008.”

GO CANADA!

Plus I was really looking forward to the race and hanging out with my buddy Mike the Cana-dian! (it’s french)

F1 not coming to Canada - or How F1 ruined my life

Davids Stuff, F1 4 Comments »

LINK :: F1 teams consider talks to save Montreal race : ReportF1 has announced this week that they are trying to ruin my plans to go hang out with my Canadian freinds and enjoy so F1 in 2009. I was so looking forward to hanging out with my other North American F1 fanatics.

I don’t think anyone called Montreal to let them know ahead of time either becasue the mayor of montreal is pissed and I support his being pissed! LINK

With that said and as F1 goes the races are fast and the news and changes are slow. F1 is a $70 Million dollar money maker for Montreal. That is huge and to take that away froma  city that has a deal until 2011 is just dumb, then again no one has every blammed F1 for being the best bunch of dession makers. They seem to not do what you would expect.

I would urge F1 to maybe take a race out fo Europe and keep the ONE AND ONLY race in North America in North America. We can add more later. I would also wonder at the cost to take all the F1 teams to Australia once a year and then all the way back to EMEA for more races. I think the year could be better laid out and if we started off someplace and then worked around the globe better I could help cut even more cost. It’s also not as if the GP in Montreal was a quiet event, it’s sold out months in advance.

I urge, no, DEMAND that the thinkers at F1 put the race back in Montreal in 2009. This has to be the dumbest thing in the world and while Canada seems to be very finacially stable as well. if you were to put a race the US right now, that would be stupid. Supprised it not on the the list.

Formula 1 got it all wrong - McLaren’s Hamilton Spa appeal ruled inadmissible

F1, Moto Sports 3 Comments »

F1 and FIA announce today that they are not going to hear at the hearing that they can’t hear the hearing that was supposed to he heard at the hearing about the Lewis Hamilton pass that was allowed by the track stewards, then over-rules after the event by the FIA after the race.

This time the FIA has gone to far and just made themselves look like a bunch of clowns. While Lewis and McLlaren won’t say it, I will, the FIA has for years looked like three monkeys f*****g a football, and today they look even dumber than ever.

“However, the Court rejected McLaren’s right to appeal, citing Paragraph 5 of Article 152 of the International Sporting Code, which states: “Penalties of driving through or stopping in pit lanes together with certain penalties specified in FIA Championship regulations where this is expressly stated, are not susceptible to appeal.”

I would disagree with the call on the FIA’s part. I am a fan of F1 and this is bad for the sport. hands down! So to the FIA I give you “two fingers”, and hope you keep destroying the sport with your bad calls and what appears to me to be favoritism towards anyone but McLaren. If you don’t like them in F1 then just ban them and get them out of it all together.

The problem with trying to keep down Lewis is just that, you can’t keep him down. He has been in this position before in his life and come back like a demon out of hell. Lewis can drive the pants off that car most weekends. For proof all you need to do is watch him in his karting years, being penalized, starting fromt he back, aginst all odds and making it to the front in what is some pretty stout competition.\

Vettel - Practice in RAIN on a Kart before Monza win

F1, Karting, Moto Sports No Comments »

“In karting I always liked to do some wet practice and wet races and so on,” Vettel told a news conference.
“Before the grand prix in Spa, I went to Kerpen to do some karting…we were building the kart up and I said, ‘Let’s stay with slick tyres for the wet conditions’.
“They said, ‘No, you are mad,’ and I said, ‘I need some practice if it rains in Spa.’ Obviously, just one week later there is more rain in Monza against all expectations.”

Lewis was and still should be the winner @ SPA

we all saw it and I still think Lewis should still be the winner. Now we know some more details that point out the FIA has some issues with anyone other than Ferrari.
